For the dance and yoga studio of this modern villa in Hong Kong, we proposed a Zen backdrop of mosses and ferns with sparsely-flowering orchids, adding touches of colours, as well as a sense of rhythm. Each plant has been carefully considered in its placement, whereby the merging of different species results an energizing and yet calm design.

Ella Chen, our client, loves to paint flowers, particularly orchids with their mysteriously-shaped petals and diverse colours. Seduced by the source of her inspiration and to give her live models at home, we conceived the design of this vertical garden with particular orchid hybrids. These plants have petals with stunning, complex details that make it challenging, captivating and beautiful for Ella to draw.
