Tokyo Akasaka K Tower | Entry Plaza
Japan | Tokyo, 2013
This carefully composed plaza blends art, water, and greenery to create a timeless urban design at the tower’s base
Rising 150 meters in the heart of Tokyo, this new high-rise combines office space with luxury apartments. The landscape of the entry plaza offers a rare green refuge, weaving together intimate seating areas, a contemplative water feature, and “Beyond the Horizon”, a terra-cotta archway by artist Takenobu Igarashi. Together, the landscape and art create a welcoming public space to transition from the bustle of the city to the life of the tower.
