SCC Tower | Waterfront Garden
China | Shenzhen, 2016The project team was composed of Cinda Gilliland and Chang Chih-Wei of SWA. The building was designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architects.
At SCC Tower in Shenzhen, water defines the landscape, linking the project to its urban context in Nanshan Central Business District. A complex paving pattern that echoes the building’s skin creates continuity from skyline to street, connecting to reflective pools and lush subtropical planting with spaces of calm, shade, and connection. Vertical greenery extends this character indoors, uniting landscape and architecture in a cohesive design. Have a look at the Liana Garden we’ve created in the Atrium of the SCC Tower.
