Together with Hines and Gensler, the architect, the objective of this project was to build a world class marketing center and showroom to help release One Museum Place, Hine’s new landmark mixed-use development project in the heart of the JingAn District of Shanghai.

As One Museum Place is directly adjacent to the 16-acre JingAn Sculpture Park and Shanghai Natural History Museum with its vast open green space, trees, sculpture, art and landscaping – Hines, the architect, and us really wanted to showcase this element of the project and its surrounding location. The choice of plant and tree species, as well as the interior design, makes the indoor garden look like an exterior garden one might see growing in the temperate Shanghai climate.

The space is now Hine’s own offices, and the indoor park provides an impressive private greenspace – crowd/weather/pollution/mosquitoes-proof! – for meetings, lunches, relaxation…
